Adjusting speed to conditions
Regardless of the posted or general limits, drivers must limit their speed taking into account their physical and mental condition, the characteristics and state of the road, traffic conditions, the vehicle and its load, weather and environmental conditions, and any other circumstance — so that they can stop the vehicle in time before any unexpected object or fortuitous event on the road. In short: the limit is a ceiling, not a guaranteed safe speed. Fuente: Reglamento de la Ley de Tránsito y Vialidad del Estado de Yucatán, Artículo 237.
