1.5 meters when passing bicycles and motorcycles
When overtaking smaller vehicles or motorized smaller vehicles — mainly bicycles and motorcycles — drivers must keep a lateral safety distance of at least one and a half meters (1.5 m). This distance must also be adapted to vehicle size, speed, traffic, weather, visibility, and the state and width of the road.
