Traffic light colors and their arrangement

Traffic lights are the electric devices that direct vehicles and pedestrians by projected light. Vertical heads show, from top to bottom: red, amber, green. Horizontal heads show, from left to right: red, amber, green. The fixed arrangement exists for the safety of color-blind drivers, who read position rather than color (Article 307).
