Officers' indications prevail

When officers are directing traffic, their indications prevail over traffic control devices and over the Regulation’s own circulation rules (Article 305). They must direct from a clearly visible spot using white gloves, lamps or reflective vests, and must verify that pedestrians have finished crossing before releasing vehicles. Their signals may also be used by the Auxiliary Road Commissioner, the Road Auxiliary and the School Patrol Officer.
