Pedestrians and cyclists come first
At intersections and marked pedestrian or cyclist crossings — whether or not there are traffic lights, signs or agents — drivers must yield to the pedestrians and cyclists on the roadway surface corresponding to the vehicle’s direction of travel. On two-way roads without a central refuge, you must also yield to those approaching from the half of the roadway corresponding to your direction.
At all times, priority of passage belongs to the pedestrian; the cyclist, in turn, must yield to pedestrians (Fuente: Reglamento de la Ley de Tránsito y Vialidad del Estado de Yucatán, Artículo 241).
