Never block the intersection, even on green

Even when the traffic-control devices allow you to proceed, it is prohibited to continue if there is not enough space ahead for your vehicle to leave the intersection free. A green light authorizes crossing, not stopping in the middle of the crossing (Fuente: Reglamento de la Ley de Tránsito y Vialidad del Estado de Yucatán, Artículo 219).
