Exiting driveways and parking lots

Drivers who must cross the sidewalk to enter or leave private garages (cocheras), parking spaces or lots, private areas, parks or any place not intended for vehicle circulation must yield to pedestrians and to the vehicles moving in the traffic lanes — except vehicles driving in reverse or against the direction of traffic (Fuente: Reglamento de la Ley de Tránsito y Vialidad del Estado de Yucatán, Artículo 244).

Pedestrians walking on the sidewalk have preference precisely when a driver must cross it to enter or leave a garage, parking lot or private street (Fuente: Reglamento de la Ley de Tránsito y Vialidad del Estado de Yucatán, Artículo 168).
