When can you be tested?

Officers may apply the alcohol and drug tests in four situations: to any road user identified as possibly responsible for a traffic incident or accident; to any driver with evident symptoms, or facts that reasonably suggest driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; to drivers sanctioned for committing any infraction of the Reglamento; and to drivers required to take the test during preventive control operations.
