Preventive technological devices

To prevent accidents, the Secretariat runs operations with specialized instruments: electronic cameras and radar and laser devices (electronic boards or guns) to detect speeding; radar detectors that photograph the vehicle and report the place, date, time and speed; fixed or mobile video-surveillance systems; and equipment installed at intersections that produces photographic sequences of vehicles involved in an accident while disobeying traffic control devices.
