Alcohol and drug checkpoints

To prevent loss of life and property damage, the Secretariat runs operations to detect alcohol, drugs, psychotropics, narcotics and similar substances in drivers, using specialized technological devices. These operations are carried out permanently and at random, at different points on the public roads and also at the stops, stands and terminals of the public transport service, under strict confidentiality measures.
