Damage-only accidents: stop, remain, notify

When an accident causes only material damage to another’s property, everyone involved must immediately stop their vehicles at the scene or as close as possible, remain there, and inform the Secretaría so it takes cognizance of the facts. Failing to do so is classified as a serious infraction (infracción grave) by article 446.

If the damage is to property of the Nation, the State, a Municipality, or third parties, those involved must notify the competent authority, which in turn informs the affected agencies or private parties. Fuente: Reglamento de la Ley de Tránsito y Vialidad del Estado de Yucatán, Artículos 400 y 446.
